Rumors link Pepper to The Pendennis Club before he allegedly brought the cocktail to the Waldorf-Astoria hotel bar in New York City. Some claim Louisville as the home of the Old Fashioned while others maintain it's really NYC.

Ingredients

  • Bourbon - 2 oz
  • Angostura Bitters - 4 Dashes
  • Simple Syrup - 0.5 oz
  • Orange Peel - for garnish

Method

  • Place an Ice Ball in an Old Fashioned glass
  • Pour over the bourbon and add the bitters
  • Add the simple syrup and stir.
  • Garnish with the orange peel.
