Rumors link Pepper to The Pendennis Club before he allegedly brought the cocktail to the Waldorf-Astoria hotel bar in New York City. Some claim Louisville as the home of the Old Fashioned while others maintain it's really NYC.
Ingredients
- Bourbon - 2 oz
- Angostura Bitters - 4 Dashes
- Simple Syrup - 0.5 oz
- Orange Peel - for garnish
Method
- Place an Ice Ball in an Old Fashioned glass
- Pour over the bourbon and add the bitters
- Add the simple syrup and stir.
- Garnish with the orange peel.
