Two liqueur-led favourites that don't fit neatly under a single base spirit — built around what's already on the shelf.

Espresso Martini

Coffee, vodka and Kahlúa — the drink that wakes the party back up.

From the shelf: vodka and Kahlúa

Ingredients
  • 1½oz vodka
  • 1oz Kahlúa
  • 1oz freshly brewed espresso (cooled)
  • 3 coffee beans, to garnish
Method
  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake hard for 15 seconds — this builds the foam on top.
  3. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with three coffee beans.

Amaretto Sour

Nutty, sweet and tart — built the same way as a Whiskey Sour, just softer.

From the shelf: Disaronno

Ingredients
  • 2oz Disaronno
  • ¾oz fresh lemon juice
  • ½oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white (optional)
Method
  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker without ice and shake hard for 15 seconds.
  2. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
